Leadership Inspiration – Leading is Reading

Leadership Inspiration reading is leading

Today a reader, tomorrow a leader. Reading increases leadership effectiveness by expanding knowledge and perspective.

The day we stop learning, we stop growing.  Reading goes hand-in-hand with leading.  Books and articles are a source of endless knowledge.  They have the ability to expand our perspective.

Books are cheap compared to the rich learnings they contain within them.  Leaders from all industries and generations cite books that changed their thinking or inspired them.

Whether it’s Mark Zuckerberg’s Year of Books program, Inc’s list of the best leadership books of all time, or the recommendation of a colleague, the potential is endless to find a good book.  The important part is to start.  Pick up a book and open yourself to the magic within.

I have several books on my reading list and am constantly adding more.  My most recent purchases are Drive by Daniel Pink and Living Forward by Michael Hyatt.

What are you reading right now?  I’m always looking for new recommendations.  Please share your favorites in the comments below.
