Many of us are readying for a long weekend of barbecues, warm weather, and good times with friends and family. No matter where we are, or our plans for the weekend, I hope we all take a moment to celebrate our independence.
While Independence Day reflects when we became a free nation, not everyone in this country has always felt free to be their true, authentic selves. Centuries later, I hope we are approaching that day.
In the meantime, whether that’s in how we think, how we live, or how we lead, let’s do our best to celebrate our independence this weekend.
