Advice to my team – Decision-Making

Advice to my team

Next week, I am having major surgery.  I prepared my team, letting them know I’d be gone for 8 weeks while I recover.  I’m not looking forward to being gone, but I am looking forward very much to two things when I get back:

1.  Having my life back with none of the health issues that have plagued me in the last 30 years.

2.  Seeing the amazing results of my kick ass team.

So often, they know what they need to do and how to go about it.  They look to me for reassurance, not realizing that they don’t need it.  They will miss it, but they don’t need it.

Starting next week, they will have to support themselves and each other.

I promised I’d leave them with some words of wisdom.  The things I would tell them if I were there.  So, for the next 10 weeks, I’m going to dedicate a post a week to my team.  If it inspires the rest of you, even better.

I have been writing up a storm the last few months and have posts scheduled through my return.  You’ll continue to see several each week while I’m on the mend.  As soon as I am able, I will post an update to let you all know I’m on the road to recovery, and when I’m back in full swing.

In the meantime – to my team and all my readers: Do your best.  I have every faith in you.  Always have.

  1. Kristin,

You will be in my thoughts in the next few weeks and I hope that you have a comfortable and fast recovery.

    1. Thank you Donna! I appreciate the kind words and thoughts. I’m preparing for my hibernation (as I like to call it), stocking up on essentials and fun stuff to keep me occupied. I look forward to letting everyone know when I’m on the mend!

  2. Kristin, thank you… we will.

Please know that positive thoughts and sincere, personal best wishes will be flowing your way while you’re away.

    1. Jerry,

As always, thank you. I know you all care about me as a person first, so I’ll do my best to take care of my person. That you’ll have a fully-rested and energized one returning will be an added bonus.

      Best while I’m gone.
      Kristin
